Job Duties

• Set- up stacking patterns and initiate run sequences.
• Load pallets, corrugated sheets and slip-sheets.
• Remove loads from staging conveyor.
• Monitor book trim and bind quality.
• Manual stacking of books when palletizer fails.
• Manual stacking of books when it is not deemed efficient to utilize the palletizer.
• Perform preventative maintenance and log all periodic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot daily operational faults.
• Coordinate perfect-bind sequences with the lead binder operator.
• Log all history of repairs and PM’s, create and maintain logbook documenting each shift.
• Responsible for the staging, care of and upkeep of the spare parts.
• Moving of loads up to 1500 lbs. With a manual lift truck.
• Adhere to and assure safety practices are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Minimum 6 months Bindery experience.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Full operational knowledge of Bindery functions.
• All quality parameters associated with book binding and stitching.
• Productivity rates and standards.
• Must have basic computer skills, good math skills and penmanship.
• Must possess above average communication skills.
• Good to above average mechanical aptitude (tests will be administered to qualified candidates).
