Douglas L. Mann, Chief Executive Officer
Douglas L. Mann was appointed chief executive officer of Hess Print Solutions in November 2010. Mann is a twenty-year veteran of the printing, direct marketing and advertising industry and has led successful turnaround and integrations, transforming companies into world-class organizations. Prior to joining Hess Print Solutions, he was most recently with Vertis Communications where he was senior vice president of operations for direct mail and advertising inserts. During his time with Vertis, Mann was instrumental in the development of market leading operating plans with the execution of strategic and tactical initiatives that led to implementation of lean six sigma practices, substantial sales growth, and margin improvement. He has also held positions at Gannett Offset, C2 Media and Reynolds and Reynolds. Mann has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and is Green Belt Certified in lean six sigma.
Jerry Haywood, Chief Financial Officer
A seasoned financial executive with vast experience in the media, print, direct marketing and advertising industries, Jerry became Chief Financial Officer of Hess Print Solutions in April of 2012. Previously he served as Senior Vice President of Finance for Midsouth Newspaper Group, a company consisting of 11 newspapers and $1.5 billion in revenue. In a similar position, he helped to lead Gannett Offset, a $250 million print and advertising organization, with twelve companies, to historic levels of profitability and cost control. Most recently, Jerry held the position of President of Minneapolis Offset/Gannett Offset Group in an expanded role, which included finance, operations and sales. He holds three degrees from the University of Louisville - an Associates of Applied Science, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration.
Robert Frederick, Vice President of Supply Chain Management
Robert Frederick, Vice President of Supply Chain Management, began his career in cost accounting and moved into the field of supply chain, managing raw materials, product and service purchasing, and multi-million dollar inventories. An industry leader in supply chain sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and managing the procurement process, Frederick strives to procure service driven, cost effective vendor agreements that ensure continuity of supply and yield the lowest possible costs. Before joining Hess in 2011, he led supply chain management at ADVO, Inc. (now Valassis), where he developed expertise in paper manufacturing and quality control. Frederick holds a degree in Business from Charter Oak State College.
Douglas Holzschuh, Vice President of Information Systems and Technology
Douglas Holzschuh joined Hess Print Solutions in the position of Vice President of Information Systems and Technology in March of 2012. With strong experience integrating information technology functionality for commercial printers and newspapers, his responsibilities include aligning the company’s technical solutions to meet clients’ needs and support the company’s business goals. Most recently, Holzschuh was the IT Director at Gannett Offset-Minneapolis (Gannett Commercial Print) where he managed information technology and served in a key position on the operating committee. Prior to that, he was IT Manager at the Battle Creek Enquirer (a Gannett Newspaper). Holzschuh studied economics at Carlton College.
Michael A. Manley, Vice President of Marketing & Sales Operations
Mike Manley joined Hess Print Solutions in November of 2010 as Vice President of Marketing and Sales Operations. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s strategic marketing initiatives, sales operations and client services. His primary objectives are maximizing sales growth, optimizing efficiency and exceeding our customers scheduling, quality and delivery expectations. Manley has more than 25 years of catalog marketing experience for B-to-B and B-to-C audiences and is a former HPS customer. Prior to joining HPS, Manley served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Brodart Supplies and Furnishings, where he directed product merchandising, marketing and Web programs for multiple product lines. He was also Senior Vice President of Marketing with U.S. Office Products, where he led catalog merchandising and production. Manley studied speech and communications at Eastern Illinois and also attended the Art Institute of Chicago.
Brendan Savage, Senior Vice President of Operations
Senior Vice President of Operations, Brendan Savage, is a proven leader with industry expertise in our core markets – catalogs, publications, books, as well as in our new markets- general commercial print and digital print. Prior to joining Hess, he worked at Quad Graphics/WorldColor where he spent the last six years managing production facilities in Kentucky and Ohio. He also held various management positions during ten years of employment with Brown Printing Company. His positions at Brown included Production Manager in Finishing, Technical Manager in Pressroom and Maintenance and Process Control Manager. He holds an MBA in Finance from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor’s degree from Grove City College in Grove City, PA.
Luke Teboul, Senior Vice President of Sales
Luke Teboul has more than 20 years of print and direct marketing experience in sales and in operations, in the United States and the United Kingdom. Most recently, he was Vice President of Sales for IWCO in Chanhassen, MN. Prior to that, Teboul was Vice President of Operations of Personix (formerly Jerome Group), where he was responsible for all of their production, logistics, fulfillment and distribution. He holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Central England University.
